What it solves

Most business sites are slow, hard to edit and disconnected from the systems that run the business. We build on native WordPress — block themes, no page builder — so pages are fast, editable by your team and connected to your CRM, calendar and email from day one.

Typical problems

  • Page-builder bloat: slow pages, fragile layouts, a plugin for everything
  • Form submissions that go to an inbox and stop there
  • A redesign every two years because nothing is maintainable
  • Accessibility and Core Web Vitals never measured
  • Nobody in-house dares to edit the site

What changes

The website becomes the place where work starts. Enquiry and booking forms create records, portals let clients or patients upload documents, and the site itself is fast, editable by your team and structured so search engines and AI assistants can read it. This site runs on the same system.

Example workflows

Workflows we build regularly in this service. The “what changes” lines describe the process after the build, not measured results; measured results are published only in case studies, with permission.

Page-builder site to block theme

Before

A 4-second home page, 40 plugins, layouts that break on mobile.

After

A custom block theme with design tokens, 8 plugins, and every section editable in the block editor.

What changes: Lighthouse performance in the 90s, editable by non-developers.

Quote request that reaches the CRM

Before

A contact form emails the office; someone re-types it into the CRM.

After

A multi-step intake form validates, scores and creates the CRM deal, books the call and sends the confirmation.

What changes: every enquiry in the pipeline within a minute, none lost.

Booking without the back-and-forth

Before

Clients email to ask for a slot; three replies later a time is agreed.

After

Live availability on the site, deposit taken, calendar event and reminder sequence created automatically.

What changes: bookings while you sleep, fewer no-shows.

What gets automated

  • Custom block themes (theme.json, patterns, templates)
  • Performance, accessibility (WCAG 2.2 AA) and technical SEO
  • Intake, quote and booking flows
  • WooCommerce and membership setups
  • Migrations from page builders and other platforms
  • Hosting, backups, security and maintenance handover

Systems we work in

Tools describe the systems we connect; they do not imply partnership or certification.

  • WordPress (block themes)
  • WooCommerce
  • Gravity Forms
  • Jotform
  • n8n
  • HubSpot
  • Cliniko
  • Stripe
  • Hostinger
  • Cloudflare

Human checkpoints and security

The rules that keep this service safe to run in a regulated firm. They are written into the scope, enforced in the build and described in more detail on the security and data page.

  • Forms and portals collect only the data the workflow needs, with consent and retention settings
  • Uploads are scanned and filed; nothing reaches a system of record without validation
  • Lighthouse, accessibility and security checks at launch
  • Hosting, backups and access documented and handed over

What every build includes

The difference between an automation that works in a demo and one that still works in a year.

  • Automatic retries when a connected app is briefly unavailable, so nothing is silently lost
  • A run log for every execution — what came in, what was decided, what went out
  • Failure alerts to Slack or email after repeated errors, with a pause switch you control
  • Idempotent steps: running twice never creates duplicates
  • Written handover: a one-page map of the workflow, its owners and how to change it
  • Built in your own accounts — you keep every credential, licence and asset

How the work is delivered

  1. Map

Current process documented with the people who run it.

  2. Scope

Written proposal, diagram, deliverables, fixed price.

  3. Build

Short stages in your accounts, demo at the end of each.

  4. Launch

Monitoring, alerts and documentation before go-live.

Questions

Why no page builder?

Page builders add weight, lock content into one plugin and break on updates. Native blocks are faster, more stable and part of WordPress itself — your team edits with the same tools WordPress ships with.

Can you keep our existing content and SEO?

Yes. We migrate content, keep URLs (or redirect them properly), carry over meta data and check rankings before and after launch.

Do you host the site?

We recommend and configure hosting but the account is yours. We can manage it under the retainer or hand it over fully.

What about WooCommerce?

Supported — catalogue, checkout, payments and the automations around orders (fulfilment, invoices, follow-ups).

How does pricing work?

Most engagements start with a fixed-price Automation Reliability Review (from $900). You then get priced options in writing with one price and a delivery date each. Ongoing monitoring and improvements are a monthly retainer you can cancel any month. All prices are in USD.

How quickly can something be live?

A first workflow is usually live within two to three weeks of sign-off. Larger builds are staged so something useful ships early and the rest follows.

What happens when a workflow fails?

Every build ships with retries, a run log and alerts. Anything that does not run as scoped in the first 30 days is fixed at no charge; after that Automation Care covers fixes, or we quote a small fix and turn it around quickly.

Who owns the automations afterwards?

You do. Everything is built in your accounts and documented, and your team is walked through it at handover. You can maintain it yourself or keep us on retainer.
